Colours are one of the important elements of a logo and can help to create an appealing brand for your target customer. Pick the wrong colour that is inappropriate for your type or style of business or worse, that switches off your target customers, and it can be very detrimental for your business.
I recently found this fun colour selector tool called Colour Hunter. This site enables you to create and build colour palettes created from images. So let’s say you want to create the colours and feel of the a forest, you can search the images it references in FlickR or upload your own favourite or library image and match the colours to create your brand colour palette. Very clever stuff and great for inspiration.
So banish the boring corporate dark blue and stretch your brand colour imagination!
