Email marketing software helps to deliver measurable campaigns…

email marketingI often get asked to recommend ways for my clients to produce and send email marketing campaigns. I have evaluated and used many of the email marketing software (EMS) tools aimed at small business users, including Constant Contact, Awebber, iContact, Mail Chimp, to name but a few.

There is so much choice out there and it is impossible to review all of the options fully. Might take me a few years!

I personally use and recommend Mail Chimp. It’s easy to use and has very flexible HTML templates that allow you to create a bespoke and on-brand look for your email communications. The reporting is robust, integration with Google Analytics means you have a complete view of the recipients behaviour after they reach your website, and it now integrates with social media platforms too.

How do you send out your emails? No more Outlook ones please with dodgy looking PDF attachments!

  1. As my mother always said, if it’s worth doing at all, it’s worth doing properly. So many emails with dodgy pdf attachments they can only serve to create dissonance in the mind of the recepient and detract from the message being conveyed and worse, tarnish the brand.
